At the Universidad de los Andes, we have processes and tools to guarantee compliance with the right of individuals to know, update and rectify the data we process in the different academic and administrative activities.

The holders of personal data may revoke consent to the processing of their personal data at any time, provided that this is not prevented by a legal or contractual provision. To this end, the University of los Andes has mechanisms for the presentation of queries and claims by the following means:

Petitions that are filed using any of the above means will be received during business hours (Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Despite the foregoing, it is important to mention that the legal times for issuing responses will start from the date on which each request is registered.

What the Request must contain:

For the attention of the request, complaint or claim, the following information will be requested:

Full name and surname of the holder of the personal data.
Contact details of the holder of the personal data:
Physical address and/or e-mail address.
Contact telephone numbers.
Reasons or facts that gave rise to the claim, request or query with a brief description of the right you wish to exercise (to know, update, rectify, request proof of the authorisation granted, revoke it, delete, access the information, among others).
Signature (if possible).
Identification number.

Internal Procedure

It records the legal times in which the different requests made by the petitioners must be addressed.

Queries

A mechanism for consulting the data subject's information held in any database.

Complaints

Data subjects may report cases in which it is considered that the information contained in a database should be corrected, updated or deleted.

Rectification and Update of Data

Mechanism that allows the holders to rectify and update the information of the latter that turns out to be incomplete or inaccurate.

Deletion of Data

The holder has the right, at any time, to request the Universidad de los Andes, the suppression (deletion) of his/her personal data.

Revocation of Consent

Personal data subjects may revoke their consent to the processing of their personal data at any time.
